by providing the much needed financial resources for various academic programs, technology enhancements, after-hour staffing needs, special classroom materials and even professional development for teachers.  Every student at Pearce, in one way or another, benefits from PEEF.

PEEF was founded in 2003 by a group of concerned parents who recognized that to continue Pearce's long-standing reputation for excellence in education, an organization dedicated to funding academics was necessary. 

Think about it......booster clubs for athletics, choir, theater, Pacesetters, band and other Pearce organizations are very successful in raising funds for their members.  But who is looking after classroom and teacher needs?  This year alone, our district has reduced its operating budget by more than $20 million.  What this means for schools like Pearce, is that we must look elsewhere to fund enrichment programs, technology enhancements, study tools, classroom materials, field trips and more.  This is where PEEF comes in.  So many programs at Pearce that we all take for granted - like keeping the library and computer labs open after hours, or paying for staff development programs - are funded by PEEF each year.  

For the 2011-2012 school year, approximately $60,000 was requested by the Local School Council and Principal Beverly Vance to fund new programs, staffing, classroom materials and other items for Pearce.   Although our back-to-school campaign was successful, with approximately 200 families contributing $20,000 to PEEF, we need to focus on the remaining $40,000.

We know that budgets are tight - at home, school and work.  But we hoping that every family make some level of financial commitment to their child's high school by supporting PEEF.  Please consider making a contribution towards your child's high school education and click on DONATE tab to the left.  Our school simply cannot maintain or expand its excellent foundation of teaching YOUR child without YOUR support of PEEF.
